My name is Rob Villalta, I am an American that has lived and worked in both the US and Costa Rica for several years at a time in the past 30 years.I have bought real estate and built in both as well. Our services save you weeks, months, maybe even years of headaches and delays that red tape can cause in paradise. Whether you are buying land and building from scratch, or buying an existing house, remember the saying .. buyer beware .. and in another country more so because there are a lot of different local ordinances and issues that can have an adverse impact in your real estate experience and directly into your pocket.

First of all, lawyer up. This sounds like an easy transaction right, just look up attorneys at law in the Costa Rican yellow pages and bingo .. not so fast. Lawyers have additional powers and different ways of recording transactions in Costa Rica so you must hire an attorney that has practiced for several years and that comes with strong references.
